Research Librarian II
Patty earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from University of California at Los Angeles and a Masters of Library and Information Science from the Catholic University of America. Patty has been a Research Librarian at Virginia Wesleyan since September 2001. Prior to coming to VWC she worked in libraries in Carlsbad, California and Norfolk, Virginia.
Patty has served on the Undergraduate Research Committee, the Academic Effectiveness Committee, the Committee on Academic Computing and currently is the library liaison to the Humanities Division. Patty handles administrative responsibilities for the library's electronic resources and shares responsibilities for research instruction and assistance.
In November 2013, Patty Clark participated in the Association of College and Research Libraries’ Intentional Teaching:Reflective Practice to Improve Student Learning program. This course provides the opportunity to focus intensively on personal teaching development, pedagogical inquiry and practical information literacy instruction techniques, leading to a stronger institutional library instruction program.
Patty's interests include literacy, service learning, cooking and playing with grandsons Ben and Matthew.
