VWC 50th Anniversary Alumni Art Show
This special exhibition of alumni art in the Neil Britton Art Gallery includes work by Virginia Wesleyan graduates spanning five decades. An opening reception will be held in the gallery from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on September 8. The exhibit runs through November 3. This event is free and open to the public.

Yearnings: Paintings by Karen Rudd
A process painter following the intuition of color and form, Karen Rudd works in an improvisational undertaking of painted layers scraped and reworked until color, shape and surface are in tune with each other. These works were completed in the two years after her mother's passing and is the personal processing of life, death, family, sadness and beauty. Rudd earned a BFA from the University of New Mexico and is Manager of Cultural Affairs for the City of Norfolk where she established the Public Art Program.
