Village II
Village II also has four Residence Halls:
Johnston Hall is Virginia Wesleyan’s International Hall and East Hall is the Scholars’ Hall. East and Johnston Halls house mostly upperclassmen while Gum and Smithdeal Halls house a mix of returning and incoming students.
Village II is set up exactly like Village I, with residence halls on either end and classrooms, offices and a common area in the middle. The Social Sciences Lab, also located in Village II, contains faculty offices, an education lab and a study room.
This Village houses Graybeal and Roop Halls (classrooms and faculty offices), as well as Career Services, Health Services and Residence Life. Gum and Smithdeal Halls are similar in design to the Village I residence halls: community bathroom and shower facilities, a washer and dryer on each floor and vending machines. East and Johnston Halls are newer and much different in design. Two types of rooms are available in East and Johnston: two doubles connected by a bath/shower room, or a five-room suite with a kitchen/lounge area as well as a bath/shower room. Each floor in East and Johnston has a washer and dryer.
