A Village Assistant (VA) is a senior student who serves as a support for the three Village Coordinators. Similar to the professional staff, the VAs live in apartments in each of the three residential villages. As part of their qualifications, VAs must have served as Resident Assistants prior to applying for the position. Once selected, they must undergo intensive training on emergency response protocol, policy enforcement and counseling skills. The Village Assistants also share on-call responsibilities with the Village Coordinators.
