March’s Citizen Spotlight is on Senior Martha Blevins
Martha has recorded 319 hours on the Service Log since her freshman year, and these don’t include her leadership of the Winter Session course on disaster relief that took her to Mississippi to help with the rebuilding effort there or her leadership of the alternative spring break trip back to Mississippi in March. Martha has been a consistent presence in the Office of Community Service. Each of her four years she has participated in the MDA Labor Day Telethon and United Way Day of Caring and was instrumental in launching Wesleyan’s Cooking for Kids Program. She has been active in Circle K (namely tutoring), First Year Leadership Council and Wesleyan Ambassadors. Most notably, Michelle initiated and co-led the alternative spring break trip to Pearlington, Mississippi in March, a significant time commitment. She most certainly has made every effort to improve life wherever she is.
