Resume Clinic --- the "Doctor" is in!
- The CSC will provide INSTANT resume assistance for all students at a Resume Clinic in Batten Student Center, Monday-Wednesday, November 9-11, 2009; 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Students are invited to bring their resume for an on-the-spot critique, obtain resume writing guidelines and worksheets, ask specific questions about resume formatting, and more.

Etiquette Dinner - Excellent Manners are Your "Ticket" to Success
- Learn the etiquette skills that will give you the extra polish that employers will notice. Practice your dining skills at this four-course dinner: learn when to be seated, when to open your napkin, which way to pass food, which utencil do you use for each course, how to follow the host's lead, and much more.
- Co-sponsored by VFIC's "Career 15." No charge to students!!!! A $10 reservation fee is required to hold your spot, but it will be refunded at the dinner. Your reservation must be received in the CSC by 4:00 p.m., Friday, November 13.

Diversity Career Day - UVA, Charlottesville, VA
- Wednesday & Thursday, October 28-29, 2009; 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., Newcomb Hall, 3rd Floor. For a list of registered employers and schedule of the days that your preferred employers will be in attendance, visit: www.career.virginia.edu/students/events/DCD/
- Shared bus transportation will be available with NSU on Wednesday, October 28. Students desiring a ride will need to bring a $10 deposit to the CSC by Friday, October 23. The bus will depart from NSU, behind the Lyman B. Brooks Library parking lot at 6:45 a.m. and return to the NSU campus at about 6:00 p.m. Your $10 deposit will be returned the next day at the CSC, Batten 220.
- Diversity Career Day is open to ALL students, however employers will be focusing on the hiring of diverse candidates. Bring multiple copies of your resume and dress in appropriate interview attire.
