The Mission of the Career Services Center is to engage and assist Virginia Wesleyan students and graduates in developing meaningful career plans and learning effective job search skills.

Counseling and training are provided to help you identify your personal strengths and interests, to explore and gain first-hand exposure to career fields, to develop the ability and confidence to market yourself in a job search, and to participate in opportunities for positively presenting your qualifications to employers.

What is CAREER 15?

Career 15 is a unique resource of the Virginia Foundation for Independent Colleges (VFIC) through which you and top corporations that are looking for interns and employees can learn about each other and connect regarding real job opportunities.  Registering with Career 15 could be the most important networking you do.  Each academic year Career 15 sponsors multiple opportunties for students to connect with some of the larger corporations in the region who do not ordinarily recruit at the smaller colleges.  They also endorse the annual "College to Career" (C2C) Job Fair.  Excellent scholarships and internship positions are awarded each year.

The Career Services Center will host a "Career 15 Connections" table in Batten Student Center, September 8-18, 2009.  All VWC students who register with Career 15 this fall will be entered into a raffle to win a GPS navigation system. Do you need some graduate school resource assistance? Visit our site for graduate school locators, overviews, financial aid information, application information, entrance test registration, taking a practice GRE, and much more.
