Message from the Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Enrollment Services

Dear Students:

Welcome to the 2011-2012 academic session.  Unquestionably, this is a very special year for the Virginia Wesleyan campus community . . . we are celebrating the College’s 50th Anniversary!  You may also know that we have a record enrollment and the largest freshman class in the history of the College, the Class of 2015.  These are exciting times to be a MARLIN.

All of us are delighted that you are here at VWC and want to encourage you to participate in the upcoming 50th Anniversary celebration festivities scheduled throughout this academic session.  Just check the College’s web site for dates, times, and locations of these events and please plan to attend, you do not want to miss the fun and excitement.

Speaking of opportunities, I personally urge you to take full advantage of the newly constructed and enhanced curriculum.  It is truly a transformative educational experience designed especially for you!

The extracurricular activities provided by the College are equally impressive.  So, please “dive-in” and get involved in campus life.  These experiences will enrich your college years beyond your wildest expectations.

And, I would be remiss if I did not mention the dedicated faculty and staff who are here to teach, mentor, and support you throughout the year.  They, like me, want you to have a successful year full of awesome memories.

This is your year and I hope all of you have a rewarding and productive time.
