Why did you choose Virginia Wesleyan?
I chose Virginia Wesleyan for the location and for their growing track program. I love the campus, it’s great. It’s extremely easy to get involved, and I’m close to all my professors. They all really helped me out in everything I do. All three coaches that I have for sports are incredible too, they support me in everything.
What campus activities are you currently (or plan to be) involved in?
- Lifeguard
- Resident Adviser
- Track & field pole vault
- Peer Advisor
- Tutor
- Young Life
What is your favorite class?
Social and Political Philosophy. I loved it because it was discussion-driven. Everything we learned required critical thinking, and everything we talked about in class was an argument. I like arguing, and you learn more when you grow based on the facts that are pointed out. You can learn more about a subject by defending yourself.
What advice would you give to a student deciding on which college to attend?
I would say pick one that matches your personality type. Pick based on what you want your future to be. If you want a community and a better social relationship with your peers and professors, come to Virginia Wesleyan.
