The Marlin Express

The Marlin Express, stop located by the turnabout between the Jane P. Batten Student Center and Villiage II, operates on select days of the week during the Fall and Spring semesters.

The Marlin Express performs essential runs to Wal-Mart and Target and to the Newtown Road Station of The Tide Light Rail.

The Marlin Express runs throughout each traditional semester, but does not operate during Homecoming weekend, Fall Break, Thanksgiving Break, Christmas Break, Winter Session, Spring Break , Summer Sessions or during Exam weeks.

In order to reserve a seat on the Marlin Express students must sign up by 3pm on Tuesdays for the Wednesday Essentials runs and by 3pm on Thursdays for the runs to the Tide Light Rail Stop. Students should sign up at the HUB which is located in the Jane P. Batten Student Center. Students should also meet at the HUB no later than 10 minutes before their scheduled run.

This service is free to all Virginia Wesleyan students.

Departure: 7:00 p.m.
Departure/Pickup: 8:00 p.m.
Pick-Up: 9:00 p.m.

Friday Tide Runs:

Departure: 6:00 p.m.
Pick-Up: 10:00 p.m.

Saturday Tide Runs:

Departure: 2:00 p.m.
Pick-Up: 10:00 p.m.
