Virginia Wesleyan College Statement on Non-Discrimination
Virginia Wesleyan College does not discriminate against students of any race, religion, color, creed, gender, national and ethnic origin, age, marital status, covered veteran status, handicap, sexual orientation, or any other legally protected status in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other College-administered programs and facilities.
As a recipient of federal funds, the College complies with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (Title IX). Title IX provides that: "No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance."
The College is committed to preventing and responding to conduct that violates its non-discrimination policy. Any individual whose conduct violates this policy will be subject to disciplinary action in accordance with applicable College policies and procedures.
