Community Service

Lending a Hand.
Learning to Lead

Gaining a heart for others and a concern for the community is part of growing up and finding your place in the world. At Virginia Wesleyan College, our Community Service office helps you discover ways you can use your talents, passion and education to make a difference in the lives of others. Lending a hand is the most basic form of leadership. Our mission is to engage students in meaningful service and learning experiences that meet real community needs and provide opportunities to reflect on personal development and the connection between the classroom and the community.

From blood drives and tutoring in neighborhood schools to organizing recycling efforts, waterway cleanup and helping Habitat for Humanity, the students of Virginia Wesleyan are applying what they learn in class and in life to a world in need of solutions.
