Climb the 36-foot rock wall. Play racquetball on one of our three courts. Workout on weight machines in the modern, well-equipped training and fitness center. Swim laps in our 25 yard, 8 lane pool. Relax in our whirlpool and sauna. Or simply grab a sandwich at the Marlin Grille.
Set at the center of campus, the Jane P. Batten Student Center is devoted to promoting health, leadership and a love for athletics. It is the site of myriad extracurricular and recreational activities and the host location of indoor varsity sports and tournaments. When you're a student at Virginia Wesleyan, you'll find yourself gravitating to its expansive facilities for recreation, to meet with friends and watch athletic events. All athletic offices, the chaplain's office, community service office, bookstore, student counseling center and other vital services are housed within the Batten Student Center.
The Batten Student Center, as its name implies, was built for the use and enjoyment of Virginia Wesleyan students. However, under certain circumstances, the modern facilities are available for the use of guests and others.
