The Office of Campus Security strives to provide a safe and secure environment conductive to and supportive of education, residential living and the daily operations of campus facilities.
The Office of Campus Security provides crime prevention programs, basic criminal investigations, personal security, traffic and parking control, physical security, emergency first aid treatment, maintaining public order and other related services. To support Campus Security, an active relationship is maintained with state and local law enforcement agencies for assistance in criminal investigations in the college's jurisdiction, information sharing and officer training. Campus Security is not authorized to make arrests and therefore, when the need arises, the College will contact the 3rd Precinct of the Virginia Beach Police Department.
Contact Campus Security for any of the following reasons:
- Crimes, other emergencies or suspicious behavior
- After-hours escort services
- Motorist assistance with a dead battery or with opening vehicles with keys left inside (Note: Campus Security cannot open a locked car for you)
- Student transportation to the airport, bus station or train station.
- Lost and Found
- Parking Decals and information on Campus Parking
- Student, faculty and staff ID cards
- ID card access to residential dorms
