Marlins Go Green!
The President's Environmental Issues Council (PEIC) was appointed by President Billy Greer to promote a strong environmental ethic and cultivate sustainable policies, practices and curricula throughout Virginia Wesleyan College.
Through its broad membership, the Council works with campus leaders to address environmental issues on campus and to promote conservation and environmental stewardship among Virginia Wesleyan's students, faculty and staff.
The Council has four main Task Groups (Executive Committee, Community Awareness and Promotions, Buildings and Grounds and Environmental Audits and Practices) that work in more concentrated areas.
The Council also oversees the awarding of the annual President's Environmental Challenge Grant.
