Apr 2, 2008: Raising Money By Dancing
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Norfolk/Virginia Beach, Va. – Virginia Wesleyan College's Dancing with the Professors event on Saturday, March 29 was a success, raising more than $2,000 to support the College's drive to become Phi Beta Kappa. All proceeds from the event will be used to purchase books for the Hofheimer Library.
With more than 500 people in attendance, a total of sixteen dancers, eight students and eight professors, showed off their hard work on the dance floor with routines to dances including the cha cha, fox trot, samba, salsa, waltz, tango, swing, and rumba.
"Dancing with the Professors raised an incredible amount of money, for the library book fund in support of our shared Phi Beta Kappa goal," said Library Director Jan Pace.

The event featured bloopers of dance rehearsals with hor d'oeuvres and coffee following the performances.
