NORFOLK/VIRGINIA BEACH, VA--Rear Admiral Bonnie Burnham Potter, Chief, Medical Corps and Commander of the
National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md., will speak on "Women in the Military Services" at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March
26, 1998, in the Blocker Science Auditorium on the campus of Virginia Wesleyan College. The program is free and open to the

Rear Admiral Potter became Chief, Medical Corps, Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, Washington, D.C., and Commander,
National Naval Medical Center in 1997. Her military awards include: Legion of Merit with gold star; Defense Meritorious Medal;
Meritorious Service Medal with gold star; Navy Commendation Medal; Navy Achievement Medal; Combat Action Medal; and
other campaign medals.
