May 28, 2009: Going To College With The Adult Studies Program

Norfolk/Virginia Beach, Va. - The Adult Studies Program at Virginia Wesleyan College will hold "Going to College with the Adult Studies Program" at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 4 in the Adult Studies Lounge in Clarke Hall.
The Adult Studies Program is an extension of the day program at Virginia Wesleyan, with night and weekend classes designed specifically for adults. Students may be degree seeking, looking to change careers or interested in courses for personal enrichment.
Topics such as degree programs offered, tips for success, learning support available for non-traditional students, credit transfers, guaranteed admission for Virginia Community College students, employer tuition deferral programs, financial aid options and how to enroll will be covered. Advisers will be available to answer questions and set up appointments.
The program offers a bachelor's degree in Business; Social Sciences, with a concentration in Psychology or Sociology; History; Criminal Justice; Liberal Studies, a broad major focused on the humanities and social sciences; as well as Teacher Certification. A broad range of special interest courses is also available.
