Feb 16, 2009: "Clean Energy & Green Jobs" Town Hall Meeting Held At Virginia Wesleyan

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Norfolk/Virginia Beach, Va. - Environment Virginia, the Sierra Club, Natural Resources Defense Council and the Green Career Center will hold a Town Hall Meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 19 in the Blocker Hall Science Auditorium on the campus of Virginia Wesleyan College.

Two expert panel presentations will be held on local clean energy projects and green jobs. George Hagerman with VA Coastal Energy Research Consortium, Delegate Joe Bouchard, Tim Wilkins with Paliria Energy, Jon Esson with Green Career Center, and representatives from International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the U.S. Steelworkers Unions will all be present to discuss how we can re-power America and rebuild our economy through investments in clean energy.
