Jaimie Reese ’96 married Howard Peterson on June 30, 2007 at the Fort Belvoir Chapel. The couple resides in Alexandria, Va., but will be living in Germany where Howard is stationed with the Air Force. Elizabeth Wallace ’97 married Mark Johnson on June 30, 2007. The couple resides in Chesapeake, Va. She is a learning disabilities teacher in Chesapeake, Va., and received her master’s degree in special education from Regent University.

In Memoriam
David Newby ’71 passed away in September in his home in Chesapeake, Va., after a 13-month struggle with cancer. A social science major, he was second in command at the Chesapeake Sheriff’s Office. He was 58.
Elaine (Kaylor) Cline ’78 passed away in November. A history major, she enjoyed many years of “Grey Lady” or “Pink Lady” volunteer work at various Navy and civilian hospitals and clinics, as well as work as a docent at the Lynnhaven House in Virginia Beach, Va. She was 86.
Richard Todd Mohr ’96 (non-alumnus) passed away in September. He attended Virginia Wesleyan and in 2000, he moved to Berlin, where he established Bottoms Up Boat Lift Co. and in 2007, Atlantic Marine Construction. He was 33.
