Alumni Waves of Success

Stephen Gibbs ’89 is Executive Chef and co-founder of Hands On Gourmet, a culinary events company in the San Francisco Bay Area. Educated at the California Culinary Academy, Gibbs served as chef at several acclaimed restaurants and the San Francisco Opera House. He produced and starred in Flavor Highway, a series available on Taste TV. In 2005, Gibbs won an “On the Verge” award from 7x7 Magazine, which honors innovative leaders in creative fields. He spent a decade in Los Angeles working as an actor in 1990’s soap operas, sitcoms and commercials. Gibbs
Tina R. Tyson ’93 is Chief Compliance Officer for the Duke University School of Medicine.Tyson is responsible for developing processes and programs to ensure that the medical school complies with highly complex laws and regulations as well as Duke’s code of conduct. For three years Tyson served as general counsel for university compliance at Washington University in St. Louis. Prior to that she was an attorney in Washington, D.C., where she specialized in litigation and corporate compliance. She earned her J.D. degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. Tyson
Nicole Letourneau ’94 is Communications Director for the National Low Income Housing Coalition in Washington, D.C., an agency dedicated to ending America’s affordable housing crisis. Letourneau handles all media relations, press releases and publications for the organization that focuses its advocacy on addressing the needs of the nation’s lowest income households. Letourneau spent four years as press secretary for Massachusetts Congressman John W. Olver and also worked for Massachusetts State Representative John F. Merrigan and as a reporter for The Republican newspaper in Springfield, Mass. Letourneau
George K. (Chip) Tsantes ’83 is Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for INTERSECTIONS, INC., a leading provider of consumer identity management solutions offering safeguards to more than five million customers. Tsantes is responsible for all IT operations and developing and enhancing services related to identity theft, credit reports and background screening. Prior to joining INTERSECTIONS, Tsantes was a Partner in Accenture’s Capital Markets Group where he helped clients assimilate emerging technologies.
