Homecoming & Family Weekend
Oct. 6-8, 2006 – Embark on “The Spirit of VWC”
Alumni highlights from the schedule of events for the weekend include:
Friday, Oct. 6
“Ports of Call Two” – Oktoberfest, 5:30 - 7 p.m., Boyd Dining
Center. Join us for a special dinner by reservation for students, parents
and family members and alumni. Experience a traditional German meal featuring
festive music, singing and dancing.
“Ports of Call Three” – VWC Concert Series: Lee Jordan-Anders, 7:30 p.m., Hofheimer Theatre.
Saturday, Oct. 7
Breakfast with President Greer, 8 - 9:30 a.m., Boyd Dining
Center. Enjoy a full continental breakfast and visit with President Greer
at the same time!
“Classes Without Quizzes,” 10 -11:30 a.m., Jane P. Batten Student Center. No all-nighters, tests or homework! Just come and enjoy two 30-minute educational sessions featuring Virginia Wesleyan’s creative faculty doing what they do best…teaching. FREE and open to all.
“Spirit Muster” – Homecoming Tailgate Party, 12 - 4:30 p.m., Trinder Center
Lawn. Games and activities for kids young and old, plus food, music by a
DJ and tents for various groups including Greeks, parents and former RAs,
among others! Marlin field hockey, men’s soccer, women’s soccer and volleyball
teams will host
games Saturday afternoon.
