Faculty Forum: "Changing Attitudes Toward the Homeless"11 a.m. - 12 p.m.Dr. Kathy Stolley, Batten Associate Professor of Sociology, will be the Faculty Forum's second speaker. Dr. Stolley will be speaking about the data that has been collected during VWC's sponsorship of the Winter Session Homeless Shelter. The Faculty Forum serves as a vehicle to highlight the tremendous accomplishments of Virginia Wesleyan's talented group of faculty members. Three times a year, speakers from throughout all three academic divisions of the College are invited to make a presentation about their research, sabbatical projects, artistic endeavors or other projects that are deserving of public consumption. The Forum provides speakers with an audience drawn from throughout the Virginia Wesleyan community and surrounding area, as well as the general public. The Forum will meet in Clark Hall, Room 118, at 11 a.m. on March 23. The event is free and open to the public. Cooking for Kids6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.In partnership with the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia,volunteers in this program prepare hot meals in the campus kitchen, which are later distributed to children in after-school programs through Kids Cafe.
