The Adult Studies Scholarship Fund
Scholarship opportunities for adult students are virtually non-existent. These non-traditional students have limited access to scholarship funding and financial aid opportunities since they are part-time students limited to evening and weekend classes. According to ASP enrollment information, nearly 60 percent of Virginia Wesleyan's adult students need some kind of financial assistance to attend the college. Some receive tuition benefits through their employers. Others fall between the cracks, however; as their employers do not offer this benefit and they cannot qualify for many other forms of financial aid while attending classes part time. The Adult Studies Program Scholarship Fund is designed to give these students an additional option for financial assistance. Scholarships will be awarded on a need/merit basis.
