Virginia Wesleyan Friends and Family -- be sure to look for this summer's release of Run Before the Wind, a young adult fantasy novel by alumna Michele Yardumian! This book will be released in mid-July and is the action-packed sequel to The Alliance: Book One of the Faeltheon (2007). RBTW, like all the books of the Faeltheon, concerns the adventures of a race of Elves and Faeries who face the demise of their ancient culture due to the influence of a persistent group of evil Humans and Goblins. Unlike the modern run of vampires and magelings, the Faeltheon people are a wise and ancient race whose core precepts and values are still aligned with the Creator. This worldview, nearly unique in the modern fantasy genre, makes the Faeltheon books the literary descendents of Lewis and Tolkien; a much more wholesome fare than most of what passes for young adult literature today. Equally intriguing is the fact that this series is the joint effort of four individuals -- three teens and their math teacher! So, whether you are a teen, or are simply related to one by blood or by profession, be sure to catch this latest edition in a wonderful and unique series! Run Before the Wind: Book Two of the Faeltheon, is a trade paperback with b&w illustrations, color plates, maps, diagrams, and many appendices, including one about their language. The book will also be available in audio format. For more information, check out www.faeltheon.com or www.tatepublishing.com.
