Barbara Wool '83
Barbara Wool '83 is a real estate agent serving the Hampton Roads area who is passionate about her support for Virginia Wesleyan College. She is a member of the Alumni Board and gives back to her school in another important way. For every sale she makes with anyone connected with the College – professors, alumni, staff, recent graduates, as well as their friends and relatives – she gives 25 percent of her commission to the Alumni Scholarship program that benefits children of alumni.
This plan has worked well for the last four years and Barbara has helped many VWC alumni sell or purchase their homes. "We have fewer alumni than older established institutes of higher learning, so raising funds can sometimes be challenging," Barbara said. "I'm hoping to encourage others to come up with some creative fundraising ideas as well."
