Virginia Wesleyan establishes agreement with The Apprentice School of Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding - Newport News

Will Corr '94

Will Corr '94

Will Corr '94 is an artist who exhibits his paintings at shows across the United States. He received his Master of Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2002. Will has taught at the Old Donation Center for the Gifted and Talented Summer Program in Virginia Beach, Va., as well as Salisbury University and the Maryland Institute College of Art. In 2007, Will participated in the Virginia Wesleyan College Alumni Art Exhibition. He uses a multitude of mediums from traditional oils to sawdust and asphalt to create his popular paintings on wood panels. In 2004, Will displayed his artwork in a solo exhibition at the Contemporary Art Center of Virginia where his work is part of the permanent collection. Alumni volunteers needed
Each year the Alumni Association sponsors events for alumni, faculty, current students and friends. We are looking for dynamic alumni to join the Alumni Association Volunteers. Our volunteers are a very essential part of the Marlin community. From helping with admissions events and freshmen move-in to serving on a committee and working at homecoming- we do it all! Reunion 2008
The Classes of '98 and '83 will celebrate their reunions on Saturday, Oct. 4. The Class of 1998 will celebrate its 10-year reunion at the alumni tailgate under the main tent. Class Notes
John Haynes (1998) recently accepted a position as Director at Tidewater Wesley Foundation located in Norfolk, Va. John recently was employed at Bruen Chapel United Methodist Church as Senior Pastor.

Alice Cimino (2000) recently accepted a position at Virginia Wesleyan College located in Norfolk, Va., as Admissions Counselor/Events Coordinator. "After graduating from VWC, I held event planning positions at the Virginia Beach Convention Center and the Norfolk Scope."

Joshua Brown (2004) recently accepted a position at Virginia Wesleyan College located in Norfolk, Va., as Admissions Counselor. "After graduating from VWC, I completed a master's degree from Virginia Tech. I will be the counselor for new students from Richmond and Central Virginia."

Neil Reda (2004) recently accepted a position at Appalachian State University located in Boone, N.C., as Technical Director. He will be responsible for leading set construction in the Valborg theater scene shop, as well as designing and teaching classes for the department. Neil is beginning this job as he finishes his MFA in Theatre Pedagogy at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Beverli Dewberry (2005) and Tony Austin are happy to announce their engagement. The wedding ceremony will take place in Virginia Beach, Va.
