Marriages and Births

  • Catherine (Herman) Holava '93 and Scott Holava '93 welcomed a son, Michael Andrew, 7 pounds 6 ounces, on June 11. The family resides in Virginia Beach, Va.
  • Jennifer (Zinn) Vevoda '94 and her husband, David, welcomed a son, Jackson David in February. He joins big sister, Emma Jane. The family resides in Virginia Beach, Va.
  • Janine (Cunningham) McTernan '95 and her husband, Sean, welcomed their first child, daughter

  • Amy Martin Pantophlet '97 and Tyrone Pantophlet '97 welcomed a daughter, Sarah Elizabeth, 5 pounds 13 ounces, on April 23. Sarah joins big brother Joshua. The family resides in Kinzers, Pa.  
  • Elizabeth Wallace '97 married Mark Johnson on June 30. The couple resides in Chesapeake, Va. She is a learning disabilities teacher in Chesapeake, Va., and received her master's degree in special education from Regent University.
  • Kat (Rosensteel) Perry '99 and her husband, Allen, welcomed their first child, daughter Elizabeth Anne on May 17. The family resides in Norfolk, Va.
  • Shannon (Lilley) Edwards '01 and Jeremy Edwards were married on July 7 in Marco Island, Fla. The couples resides in Warrenton, Va.
  • Kristy (Reed) Hannah '01 and her husband, Joe, welcomed a son, Kasen Reed on April 1. The family resides in Chesapeake, Va.
  • Robyn (Bulloch) Hirsch '05 and her husband, Kenny, welcomed a son, Cayden Nicholas, 8 pounds 7 ounces, on July 19. The family resides in Virginia Beach, Va.
  • Elizabeth (Robinson) Culpepper '06 and Wayne Culpepper were married on May 26 at the Port Norfolk Baptist Church, Portsmouth, Va. The couple resides in Portsmouth, Va.
  • Jennifer (Sauer) Prince '06 married Jeremy Price on January 12 in Annapolis, Md. The couple resides in Portsmouth, Va.

Personal Updates

  • Peg Nelson '72 is the director of public relations for the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts in Virginia Beach, Va.
  • Jeremy Blake '96 is the head varsity girls' and boys' soccer coach at Union Pines High School in Cameron, N.C.
  • Jeanette Alder '97 earned a J.D. from Pepperdine University Law School, Calif., in 2001. She is a lawyer in Pennsylvania, concentrating her practice in commercial litigation and labor and employment law.
  • Jason Scalese '97 recently accepted a position as area coordinator in California for Fred Thomson 2008 - FredHeadsUSA located in San Mateo, Calif.
  • Chad Longe '99 teaches special education and coaches the boys' baseball team at North Gwinnett High School in Suwannee, Ga., and is pursuing his master's degree in special education. He resides in Sugar Hill, Ga., with his wife, Colleen, and two children, Luis, 6, and Juliette, 2.
  • Linda (Ross) Pugel '00 is a reporter for the Old Bridge Observer in Lake Ridge, Va. She resides with her husband, James, in Woodbridge, Va.
  • Laura Chapman '06 has joined the United States Marine Corps.
