  • Virginia Wesleyan Theatre presents Eleemosynary in honor of Women's History Month: Eleemosynary depicts three generations of intelligent women coming to terms with their relationships to each other in the context of societal expectations regarding smart women. The March 9 performance was designated as the annual "Celebration of Women's Voices" on the Virginia Wesleyan campus.

  • The countdown is on! Get ready for the Alumni Association's 7th Annual Auction & Party Wednesday, April 25 at the Cavalier Golf & Yacht Club in Virginia Beach, Va.   • The Annual Fund for Academic Excellence provides more than $400,000 in annual scholarship support for students. Here is what Lisa Van Dyke '08 said about the annually funded scholarship she receives: "I would not be able to attend VWC without my scholarship.   • The Alumni Association is seeking nominations for the Alumni Awards Program. Alumni can self-nominate or may be nominated by someone else for two awards: The Distinguished Alumnus Award and the Alumni Service Award.   • Tom Palombo '89 was named the 2007 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Coach of the Year. Tom is the head men's basketball coach at Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C. He earned his 150th men's basketball coaching win in December and his 300th career win in 17 seasons as a head basketball coach in February.
  • Addie (Shankle) Besemer '98 and her husband, Derek, welcomed a daughter, 6-pound 11-ounce Rhyan Sunora Besemer, on Nov. 8, 2006. the couple resides in Fredericksburg, Va. Rhyan is their first child.
