- Dr. Neil Ramsey retires after 32 years at Virginia Wesleyan. After
teaching his last two courses this summer, Ramsey is planning a move to Haines, Alaska. - Howell steps in as interim VP for Academic Affairs. Dr. Joyce Howell will fill the vacancy left by Dr. Stephen Mansfield, who stepped down to become the College's first Director of Archives effective July 1.
- Disc golf, also known as frisbee golf, has come to Virginia Wesleyan courtesy of the students in the REC 432 course, Management of Recreation and Leisure Studies II. This makes Virginia Wesleyan one of only a few colleges to have a nine-hole course on its campus.
- Are your kids looking to improve their sports skills? Send them to Virginia Wesleyan for some fun and fundamentals at one of the 2006 Summer Sports Camps! Open to a variety of ages and skill levels, Marlin camps feature some of the best college coaches in the country, in addition to a host of talented college athletes and some of the finest athletic facilities in Division III.

- Eli Miller '00 and his wife, Sarah, welcomed 6-pound, 6-ounce Brooke Avery on June 1.
- Christine Cipriani '91 has been promoted to series producer on the Style Network's longest-running television series, "The Look for Less." The show, hosted by "America's Next Top Model" winner Yoanna House, airs Sunday nights at 8 p.m. Christine resides in New York City.
