Blue Marlin Scholarships are now available for current Virginia Wesleyan freshmen in amounts ranging from $500–$2,000. The purpose of the Blue Marlin Scholarship is to assist returning students in offsetting the cost of tuition and fees. This year the College is pleased to be able to offer these scholarships specifically to returning freshmen between the fall and spring semesters. “The Blue Marlin Scholarship Fund is an excellent resource for students as they plan for their future at VWC,” says David Buckingham, Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Enrollment Services. “We are particularly pleased to be able to extend this opportunity to members of the Class of 2016.” Scholarship awards are based on academic performance, financial need and extracurricular involvement. The deadline to apply for a scholarship is December 7, 2012. Awards will be made in January for the spring 2013 semester. Download an application.
