The James River from the Mountains to the Sea
The visual art and award-winning music of Appalachian fiddler and banjoist Mark Campbell will be on display January 5-February 5 in a Neil Britton Gallery (Hofheimer Library) exhibition titled “The James River from the Mountains to the Sea.” An opening reception will take place Thursday, January 8 following a performance by Campbell (8 p.m., Blocker Auditorium). Mark Campbell and the Campbell Family Band

Appalachian region fiddler and banjoist Mark Campbell, along with the Campbell Family Band, will perform on Thursday, January 8 at 8 p.m. in Blocker Auditorium. A reception will follow in the Neil Britton Art Gallery (Hofheimer Library) to celebrate the opening of the exhibition “The James River from the Mountains to the Sea,” featuring Campbell's visual art and music. Super Bowls
“Super Bowls” will be on display in the Neil Britton Art Gallery inside Hofheimer Library from February 27 to April 10. The juried exhibition invites entries from a nationwide pool of artists, challenging the aesthetic and conceptual possibilities of what a bowl might be. Accompanies fundraising efforts of the “Empty Bowls” charity dinner held on campus annually. Reception: TBA. Admission to the gallery is free and it is open to the public.
