Biology Visiting Assistant Professor
VIRGINIA WESLEYAN COLLEGE (VWC), a small (1200 students, 85 full-time faculty), selective, and diverse liberal arts institution sited on 300 beautiful wooded acres in the heart of the historical, economically dynamic, and culturally rich Virginia Beach-Norfolk-Newport News metropolitan area, seeks applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor of biology, beginning fall, 2009. A Ph.D. in biology is required at the time the position begins. Course assignments will include genetics, microbiology and non-majors freshman laboratories. VWC seeks committed teacher/scholars who will foster undergraduate research, be professionally active, and advance the college’s quest for Phi Beta Kappa recognition. Psychology, Assistant Professor

Course assignments will include undergraduate courses in assessment, personality, abnormal psychology, and in the candidate's area of specialization. We are especially interested in a candidate who would expand our existing internship and outreach programming. Security Officer
Full time position requiring high school diploma or equivalent. Must have current DCJS Certification. Prior college, hospital, hotel, or military security experience required. Retired military a plus. Must have experience in all aspects of patrol, traffic, investigations, public relations, and report writing. Successful applicant will possess a positive, energetic personality, have strong interpersonal skills, and will be comfortable interacting with people. Computer knowledge helpful.
