Room Reservations

Use of library rooms shall be consistent with the educational mission of Virginia Wesleyan College and with the general nature of the Library. No commercial activities shall be permitted except those sponsored by university groups. See Room Use Policy

  • Foley Technology Classroom:  To be reserved by groups requiring the classroom's particular technology for their class or project. Not available as a study hall. Contact Meagan Storey (x8771) or Patty Clark (x3221).
  • Pruden Seminar Room:  To be reserved by groups or organizations for meetings or luncheons.  Not available as a study hall. Contact Meagan Storey (x8771) or Patty Clark (x3221).
  • Computer Lab:  To be used for library research instruction only; otherwise, available to students on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Study Rooms (1-5):  Available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • 24/7 Student Study Lounge:  Available on a first-come, first-served basis.

General Use Policies:

  1. Rooms must be reserved in advance to ensure availability.
  2. Requestors should identify the need for a particular room, and the date/time. If the room can be made available, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to the requestor.
  3. Food and drink are permitted in the rooms. The requestor is responsible for picking up all remaining food and drink and is expected to return the room to its original condition.
  4. Requestor is responsible for any reservation, delivery and return of equipment.
  5. Room users are expected to follow all library policies in regard to noise and general use.
  6. Room temperature controls are established by the Physical Plant and cannot be adjusted by library staff.
  7. Abuse of these policy requirements may result in loss of room use privileges.

Exceptions to any library policy should be discussed with the Library Director or appropriate designee.
