How to Cite Sources

Citation styles for research papers

Careful documentation of the sources that are used to write a research paper ensures both the credibility of the work and the ethical reputation of the writer. Style manuals give very specific information about citing many types of research materials. Which should you use? Ask each of your instructors which style they want you to use.
