Patty earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from University of California at Los Angeles and a Masters of Library and Information Science from the Catholic University of America. Patty has been a Research Librarian at Virginia Wesleyan since September 2001. Prior to coming to VWC she worked in libraries in Carlsbad, California and Norfolk, Virginia.
Patty has served on the Undergraduate Research Committee, the Academic Effectiveness Committee, the Committee on Academic Computing and currently is the library liaison to the Humanities Division. Patty handles many administrative responsibilities for the library's electronic resources.
Patty's interests include literacy, cooking, working in the yard, reading, playing with grandson Ben and anything in the mountains of Colorado, especially snow skiing with her husband, Mark.
"I love working with the students and faculty at Virginia Wesleyan and enjoy the responsibility of assisting with research and instruction. It is a great place to watch the students and the college grow."
