The College's Board of Trustees have worked with the Master Plan Architect, David Benn of Cho Benn Holback & Associates, Inc., to develop a campus master plan to guide the development of the campus.
Blocker Hall modernization
Built in 1970, Blocker Hall is the College's only natural sciences building. A recently completed $2.8 million renovation of laboratory spaces will provide students with access to modern research facilities and state-of-the-art technology.
Outdoor Athletic Complex
Everett Tennis Center – Established on the foundation of the Penzold Tennis Center, the new Everett Tennis Center includes a total of eight tennis courts including two lighted championship courts, two grandstand courts and four individual courts. The $600,000 new facility will be dedicated in the spring of 2012.
Improvements for the baseball and softball stadiums include new grandstands; new batting cages and dugouts; grading, sodding and irrigation of the fields; and new fencing and pole and net backstop.
Lacrosse and Field Hockey Field
A new synthetic turf field will be added for men's and women's lacrosse and field hockey. Seating, restrooms and scoreboard will be added.
Track and Field
In 2004/2005, Virginia Wesleyan added men's and women's track and field teams to its list of NCAA Division III athletics offerings. A new six-lane, mondo surface track with eight spring lanes will be constructed to serve as the teams' home.
