Thomas R. Farley is a lifelong resident of the Hampton Roads area. He retired in September, 2004, after 30 years in the Chesapeake Public Schools, and, has been an Adjunct Professor at Virginia Wesleyan College since 1986. At VWC, he has taught Physical, Cultural, and Human Geography (GEOG 111, 112, and 113), Secondary Education Methods (EDUC 375), Technology for Teaching (EDUC 301), and ISP 105. He has performed locally as an acoustic and band musician for over 35 years, has four original CDs available on iTunes, and won several local music awards. As President of Soft Pubs, Inc., he designed and developed these educational software products: EasyIEP Internet Database, Laser Director, The Student Assistant for U.S. History, and an early collection of primary source documents for advanced U.S. History students.
