Marlin Camper Night
Monday, Dec. 17 is Marlin Camper Night at Virginia Wesleyan College. All children (and their families) who attended any Virginia Wesleyan camp are invited to attend a FREE men's basketball game at 7 p.m. against Averett University. A halftime game of "knock-out" and a special appearance from Santa Claus will help ring in the holiday season with the Marlins. Wesleyan's Winter Homeless Shelter
The week-long Winter Homeless Shelter is back again for the second year and will be held Sunday, Jan. 6 to Sunday, Jan. 13 in the
Cunningham Multi- Activity Center of the Jane P. Batten Student Center. Volunteer shifts from 6 p.m. - 7 a.m. are still available and may be made by contacting Diane Hotaling, director of community service, at 757.455.3216 or dhotaling@vwc.edu.
Donations of personal hygiene items, gently used clothing/shoes, and NEW undergarments are appreciated. Cash donations to offset shelter expenses are also welcome.

The spring 2008 semester is quickly approaching, but there is still time for students to apply for admission to Virginia Wesleyan College. Whether interested in Virginia Wesleyan's day program or night and evening classes with the The Adult Studies Program, students can still apply for classes that begin Monday, Jan. 28.
Annual Fund for Academic Excellence
President Billy Greer, faculty, staff and students wish all alumni, parents and friends of Virginia Wesleyan College safe and enjoyable times during the holiday season. Please remember that Monday, Dec. 31 is the last day to have your gift count toward your 2007 tax deductions. Ben Foley '04
Ben Foley '04 is general manager of R&S Sport Vehicles in Mechanicsville, Va. He previously worked as a salesman and safety supervisor for his father's company, Foley Material Handling Company. Ben participates in Motocross Racing and won both races he entered this year. Every weekend he tries to find time to ride his motorcycle. Ben will be serving on the Board of Directors for the Virginia Motorsports Park, now under construction in Dinwiddie County. He and his wife, Beverly Snyder Foley '04, reside in Mechanicsville, Va.

Elizabeth (Robinson) Culpepper (2006) and Wayne Culpepper are happy to announce their marriage on May 26, 2007 in Port Norfolk Baptist Church, Portsmouth, VA. They currently reside in Portsmouth, VA. Laura Dudley (2007) and Cynthia Ruffner attended the wedding. Michelle Sekusky was a bridesmaid.
