NEW! Featured Alumna: Deborah Aylesworth '02

Aylesworth

Deborah Aylesworth '02 of Virginia Beach, Va., opened Grape & Gourmet, an independent wine shop, with her husband, Kevin, in February 2006. Boasting a collection of more than 500 wines and 125 beers from around the world, Grape & Gourmet is located in Loehmann’s Plaza in Virginia Beach. Aylesworth plans Thursday night beer tastings and Friday night wine tastings which have quickly become the highlights of the week at the store. While Deborah readily admits that starting a small business is hard work, she still finds time to give back to her hometown. Grape & Gourmet was the host for a Relay for Life benefit to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Aylesworth said the sold-out event was like a three-hour grand opening.
