The Center for Sacred Music at Virginia Wesleyan College educates students for careers in church music ministry and offers continuing education and specialized training opportunities for those already active in the profession. In addition, it hosts massed-choir festivals, presents an annual Sacred Music Summer Conference each July, and through seminars and guest speakers, explores the worship music and ritual of various world religions.
Church Music Certificate program

Offered at the undergraduate level (or for Continuing Education Units), this program prepares students for service in church music ministry and can enhance the skills of those already working in the profession.
Sacred Music-of-the-World Symposium Series
Educational programs and illustrated lectures designed to foster understanding and to encourage an appreciation for diversity in the world's faith traditions.
Performance Opportunities

The Wesleyan Festival Chorus links choral musicians with the finest conductors in the world for worship leadership and for concert performances.
Sacred Music Summer Conference
A week-long event offered each July bringing the best & brightest to the VWC campus for training in choral conducting, organ, handbells, children's choirs, and all areas of church music ministry. (available for academic credit)

Home to southeastern Virginia's base for the graduate-level Church Music Certificate offered by Wesley Seminary.
