General
Faculty, staff and students can be granted network logins to make use of network and printing resources. Faculty and staff network logins are typically generated from the individual's first initial and last name. Student network logins are typically generated from the individual's first initial, middle initial and last name. These accounts help ensure that College computing resources are accessible only to authorized VWC faculty, staff and students.
Student Network Accounts and Storage
Network accounts are created for all students. The accounts are accessed using a unique username and password. Student network accounts are personal computing accounts on the Virginia Wesleyan College Student Local Area Network (LAN) and include a maximum of 1 GB of data storage space on the campus network. A student network account is required for students to use computers and network printing in the College's computer labs and to store data on the network. Network accounts also enable students to access their data from any computer lab, classroom or their personal computer from their room.
