Traffic and Parking
General Vehicle Regulations and Parking
The person to whom the vehicle is registered on campus is held fully responsible for any violation involving the vehicle, even if another person was using the vehicle at the time of the violation.
The College assumes no liability for damage to or theft of any vehicle or its contents, or for the injury or death of anyone involved in a vehicular accident while on College property.
Parking decals must be affixed to the outside, center, and top of the windshield.
The maximum speed limit on campus at any time is 25 miles per hour.
Students may park in any student designated parking area.
Parking lot "A" between Bray Village and the Library is reserved for faculty, staff, and visitors. Students are not permitted to park in the "A" lot area, except students in the Adult Studies Program, who may park in "A" lot between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Monday through Thursday.
It is the driver's responsibility to find a legal parking place. Lack of a convenient space is not a valid excuse for violating parking regulations.
Only vehicles with proper state issued handicap license plates or decals may park in these spaces. Virginia Beach Handicap Parking Enforcement issues citations on campus.
Administration of Regulations
Traffic and parking regulations are enforced by Campus Security. All regulations are in effect 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Any person or vehicle the receives more than 5 citations in an academic semester may lose parking privileges for the remainder of that year, even if the citations are paid.
At the discretion of the Director of Campus Security and the Dean of Students, repeated violations of parking and traffic regulations may result in disciplinary action, restricted parking, or revocation of driving privileges on College property.
If you have any questions concerning parking, contact Campus Security at ext. 3349.
