Employment Opportunities

Building Supervisors

Must be able to take and understand directions, perform duties with minimum supervision, be flexible, and maintain an attractive and functional facility. Primary responsibilities include: scheduling, opening and closing the building, assist in disciplinary procedures, ensuring that all areas are secure with proper personnel and equipment security of the facility, troubleshooting problems within the facility, working various special events, and housekeeping and equipment maintenance. Event Staff

Primary responsibilities include: operating the scoreboard during varsity athletic events, taking tickets for events, maintaining security at events, set-up/take-down for events within the facility, housekeeping and equipment maintenance. Secondary responsibilities include: assisting individuals to proper seating areas, and assisting with promotions during events within the facility. Lifeguards

Primary responsibilities include: opening and closing the pool area, monitoring all activities in the pool, maintain proper safety conditions, housekeeping in the pool area, and general maintenance of the pool. HUB Staff

Primary responsibilities include: checking proper identification of individuals using the facility, issuing rental equipment, housekeeping duties and equipment maintenance. For more information, please contact Lina Green at lina@vwc.edu.

Intramural Staff

Primary responsibilities include: issuing rental equipment, inventory and check equipment before and after use, assist in daily intramural activities and events, housekeeping duties and equipment maintenance. For more information, please contact Jason Seward at jwseward@vwc.edu.

Climbing Wall Staff

Primary responsibilities include: checking proper identification and Belay Cards of individuals using the climbing wall, issuing rental equipment, run belay clinics, monitor climbers to make sure they are using proper technique, housekeeping duties and equipment maintenance. Fitness Room Staff

Primary responsibilities include: maintaining safety within the weight room and cardiovascular area, assist individuals with proper exercise techniques, and housekeeping, equipment maintenance, and wiping down all of the equipment. Office Assistants
