- 1995 graduate of Hampden-Sydney College, where he earned a bachelor's degree in history
- Sixth season as head men's lacrosse coach at Virginia Wesleyan, where he has compiled a 34-34 record
- Guided the 2007 team to a 10-5 record, tying the best record in program history; 2006 team finished 9-5
- Has coached 10 All-American players (3 Division III, 7 Division I)
- Coached three years as an assistant for the nationally-ranked University of North Carolina Tar Heels
- Began his collegiate coaching career as an assistant at Virginia Wesleyan in 1997
- Coached as an assistant for one year at Colorado College in Colorado Springs
- Played lacrosse for four years at Hampden-Sydney, helping the Tigers to an NCAA tournament berth in 1995
- Former All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference All-Academic honoree
- Director of the Marlin Lacrosse Camps
- Former co-director of the Eastern Lacrosse Shootout and the Tidewater Instructional Lacrosse League
- 1999 assistant coach for Team Colorado, which competed in the "Champ Camp" in Baltimore
- Native of Virginia Beach and graduate of Norfolk Academy
- Wife Jennifer is also a Virginia Beach native and graduate of Norfolk Collegiate School and James Madison University

- First season at Virginia Wesleyan
- Received his Bachelor of Arts degreee from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 2005
- Former assistant men's lacrosse coach for three years at Elizabethtown College, where he was the recruiting and scouting coordinator
- 2004 and 2005 UMBC Lacrosse American East semifinalist
- Four-year lacrosse starter at UMBC, where he was the recipient of the 2005 Unsung Hero award
- Played for the 2000 Western New York Gold Medal Empire Games champion lacrosse team
- Has worked the Top 205 Lacrosse Camp and the Top Star Lacrosse Camp in 2006 and 2007; has worked all-star camps in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan and Minnesota

Tripp Heilig
- Received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Hampden-Sydney College in 1991
- 12th season as a coach at Virginia Wesleyan
- Three-year head women's soccer coach from 1998 through 2000, compiling a 22-29-3 record
- Began coaching at VWC in 1994, as an assistant in men's lacrosse
- Four-year goalie for Hampden-Sydney, where he was a member of the 1989 NCAA tournament team and selected as team captain in 1991
- Graduate of Norfolk Collegiate High School
