- Begins her second season at Virginia Wesleyan College in 2008
- Came to VWC from Smith College, where she was a graduate student and the assistant field hockey coach
- 2006 Cum Laude graduate of Ursinus College with a degree in Exercise and Sports Science, minor in Coaching
- National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
- Former assistant field hockey coach at Ursinus, helping the Bears to a Centennial Conference championship and to the semifinals of the NCAA DIII championship tournament
- Four-year starter at Ursinus, where she was a first team All-American, the Centennial Conference Player of the Year, an ECAC first team All-Star, the team MVP and selected to play in the North/South All-Star game, all in 2004
- Ursinus' Senior Female Athlete of the Year, 2004-05
- 2002-03 member of the Greek National Hockey team, where she started in the midfield and was named the team's MVP for it's only tournament victory, against Finland, in the 2002 Women's European Nations Cup
- Graduate of Virginia Beach's Frank W. Cox High School where she helped the 1999 and 2000 teams to district, region and state championships both years, the 12th and 13th for the powerhouse field hockey program
- Former head coach of the Western Massachusetts Nomads U19 national travel team, which qualified for the 2007 National Indoor tournament
- A head coach of the United States Field Hockey Association Futures sites in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts since 2005; currently at the Old Dominion University site
- Has coached elite summer camps at Old Dominion University since 2004

Assistant Coach
Kim Decker Dooren
- Begins her second season at Virginia Wesleyan College in 2008
- 1996 graduate of Old Dominion University; Cum Laude in Health and Physical Education
- Received her Masters in Education, emphasizing Sports Administration, in 2002
- Four-year starter as a goal keeper for Old Dominion University, helping the Monarchs to two national championships in field hockey
- Holds the NCAA Division I record for least amount of goals scored upon during an NCAA tournament (none); also unscored upon in international play
- Goalie for the 1992 ODU field hockey team that outscored opponents 163-4
- Recorded 56 career shut outs and holds the ODU record for most shut outs in a season (21)
- Two-time All-American; also earned Academic All-American, All-South Region and all-conference accolades
- Played for the United States Field Hockey team from 1993 through 1995, helping the USA to qualify for World Cup competition; 1994 team was the gold medal winner in the Olympic Festival in St. Louis
- Former head field hockey coach at Norfolk's Maury High School, guiding her teams to back-to-back Eastern District titles
- Assistant coach for two seasons at Virginia Beach's Princess Anne High School, helping the Cavaliers to back-to-back state titles
- Coached girls varsity soccer from 2002 through 2006 at Norfolk's Granby High School, where she was twice selected as Coach of the Year
- Assistant field hockey coach for Old Dominion University in 1999
- Coach Dooren, husband Craig and children Connor, Gavin and Juliana reside in Virginia Beach
