- Earned a B.A. in English (Minor in Psychology) from North Central College in Illinois in 2001
- Earned his Masters Degree in Education from Quincy University in Spring 2004
- 2007 marks the fourth season as head men's and women's cross country coach at Virginia Wesleyan
- 2002, 2003, 2004 Boston Marathon qualifier
- Competed in cross country for North Central College, which has placed in the NCAA Division III national championship meet for 29 consecutive years, winning 12 national titles, and has won 30 consecutive College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin championships
- Competed in outdoor track and field for NCC, which won the 2000 and 2001 CCIW championship and the 2000 NCAA Division III National championship, the fourth national title for the College
- Coached by Al Carius, who was featured in Sports Illustrated at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Coach of the Century
- Former head coach for two years at Illinois' Liberty High School, where he guided the cross country team to a 2002 regional championship and a 17th place finish in the state championship meet

- Received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from North Central College in 2002
- Fourth season as an assistant coach for cross country and track and field at Virginia Wesleyan
- Serves as the cross country and track and field academic coordinator
- Former co-race director of the Tri-State Cross Country Championships
- United States of America Track & Field (USTAF) Level I certified coach
- Has completed the Rock 'n Roll Half Marathon and the Shamrock Half Mararthon
- Works in the mental health field and is currently a Mental Health Support Services counselor
