2007 Battle at the Beach
The Virginia Wesleyan men's lacrosse program invites you to the 12th annual Battle at the Beach, which will take place Saturday, November 10, 2007.

About Battle at the Beach
Battle at the Beach XII is an 8-side tournament (1 goalie, 2 attack, 2 defense, 3 middies). The morning will be round-robin format, with the afternoon consisting of a seeded championship bracket. Brackets and schedules will be forwarded to all team coaches prior to the tournament. Games will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 5 p.m.
All games are 40 minutes, 20 minute halves with a 1 minute halftime to switch ends of the field. All teams play 4 round-robin games. The four bracket winners, determined by overall record, head to head results, and the appropriate tiebreakers will advance to the tournament semifinals. The final four teams will play for the championship.
Registration and cost information
Battle at the Beach is limited to 16 teams only, so register early. The cost is $900 per team and includes 20 jerseys. A non-refundable deposit of $400 must accompany the 2007 registration application and roster and be received by Thursday, November 1. Please make all checks payable to Marlin Lacrosse Camps. All balances must be paid prior to face-off of game one.
Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 10. An optional instructional session by Virginia Wesleyan Lacrosse Coaches will begin at 8:30 a.m.

Accommodations for the 2007 Battle at the Beach will be at the Best Western Oceanfront, located on the boardwalk of the Virginia Beach oceanfront. Nightly hotel rates are $55 per room plus tax.
