The Virginia Wesleyan Alumni Association assists the College in remaining a vital and dynamic institution through financial support and community awareness and provides an opportunity for alumni to help shape the future of the Virginia Wesleyan educational experience. Members of the Association are able to reconnect with professors and fellow classmates and enjoy a multitude of benefits while participating in efforts to enhance Wesleyan.
The Alumni Association Board of Directors represents the Association membership by striving to promote the college and serve as an advocate for alumni.
Promote the college
- Align Association goals with those of the College
- Seek ways to engage alumni in student recruitment
- Support the Alumni Association Legacy Endowed Scholarship
- Share the Vision for the college with other alumni and the community
Serve as an advocate for alumni
- Seek benefits for alumni, such as lifetime e-mail, bookstore discounts, discounts on insurance with Liberty Mutual, discounts on financial services with Fulton Mortgage and much more
- Build relationships with students (especially seniors) that will encourage lifetime support for Virginia Wesleyan College
- Hold alumni events to encourage relationships between alumni and lifelong connections with their alma mater
- Keep alumni informed of campus news and events through E-news, the Wesleyan Magazine, and other venues
