The Class of 1997 is planning a 10-year reunion during the traditional Homecoming Tailgate party on Saturday, October 6, 2007.
The tailgate begins at 12 p.m. and continues until 4:30 p.m. Come and enjoy picnic food, beverages and good times with friends while watching the Marlin men’s soccer team (game begins at 2 p.m.). The Class of 1997 will have a designated area to mingle under the main tent.

- Stacey Angell '97 received a master's degree in curriculum & instruction from Castleton State University and a master's degree in school counseling from the University of West Alabama. She is a middle school guidance counselor for the Glens Falls City School District. Stacey and her husband, Chris, live in Queensburgy, N.Y. with their two children Nate, 5, and Masen, 2.
- James MacLeod '97 resides in Hermosa Beach, CA and is the head of distribution, greater Los Angeles for a Boston-based asset management firm, Pioneer Investments. He participates in the winter alumni basketball game on the VWC campus each year.
- Christine A. Williams '97 of Richmond, Va., is an attorney with DurretteBradshaw LLC, where she practices primarily in the areas of commercial and complex litigation. She received her law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law. Christine and her husband welcomed a son, Hudson Anthony Williams, 6 pounds 12 ounces on Jan. 12, 2007. Hudson joins big brother, Walker.
- Matthew Kelly '97 and Dr. Elaine Kelly are proud to announce the birth of a baby boy, Evan Patrick. He was born on May 14, 2007. Matt and Elaine live in Reston, Virginia.
- Lisa (Gaebe) Clark '97 is the marketing research director for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch in St. Louis, Mo. She and her husband, Steve, have two children Dylan, 3, and Riley, 1.
- Sara Gastler '97 of Chesapeake, Va. graduated this May with a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from The College of William & Mary. She is the director of admissions for Virginia Wesleyan College.
- Stephanie (Doyle) Brady '97 is the assistant director of the annual fund at Saint Joseph's College in Standish, Maine. She resides in Scarborough, Maine with her husband, Jim, and two children daughter Ciara, 4, and son Finn, 3.
- Matthew Mackin '97 and his wife, Lisa, welcomed a daughter, Ava Grace Mackin, 7 pounds 10 ounces on Nov. 14, 2006. This is the couple's first child. They reside in Southbridge, Mass.
- Leya (Atangan) Macchi '97 resides in Altamonte Springs, Fla. with her husband, Adam, and their two daughters Gianna, 2, and Lana, 9 months.
- Beth (Wallace) Johnson '97 and Mark Johnson were married on June 30, 2007. Beth received a master's degree in special education from Regent University and now works as a learning disabilities teacher in Chesapeake, Va.
- Matt Conrad '97 is an account manager with Ridgway's Ltd., in Virginia Beach, Va. He resides in Chesapeake, Va.
- Jenny (Alder) Simone '97 is an attorney with Riley, Riper, Hollin & Colagreco in Paoli, Pa. She earned a J.D. in 2001 from Pepperdine University School of Law.
